Pics from Valentine Weekend...

...so Ryan, Gatsby, and I went to visit my family in Aurora, Utah over the extra long Valentine weekend, and had such a blast! Here are a bunch of pics:
One of my first experiences in the Utah countryside was our 4 wheeling adventure....by the time we were finished, we had to "POP" out of the Jeeps so the mud caked to them wouldn't get all over us....it was totally fun!
I rode in my Mom's newer (and safer), Jeep, with my little sister, brother, and nephew....there were quite a few giggles coming from the back seat, and one, "Mom, promise you won't do that again"....from my sister Lilli. We flew off a hill just a little too fast and the jeep slid sideways. After all, she is very conscientious of her family's well being, you know.....;) It wasn't long after, though, that she was egging my Mom on again with, "Faster, Faster!"....and when we flew off of that next hill...I looked back and she was grinning from ear to ear!
In the midst of it all, we some how ended up in a creek, or something resembling a body of water!
Here is a picture of my Mom stopped in the middle of it...you can see the water on her left side:
And just to make it feel even more special, it had snowed the day before we arrived, so everything sparkled!
Later that day we went hunting for a place to sled, that hadn't been melted away by the sun....it took a while, but we found the perfect hill! Here is a pic of me resting, after a few trips sledding down, and walking up it:
...and sledding down again...

The view from the bottom looking up (with Ryan, my brother Ben, and nephew Ethan, in the background):

Here is Ryan getting ready to sled down specifically so I can take a pic...what a sport!...Giggle...
...and I got the perfect shot...
The next day, I baked a lot in the kitchen, and in between went for a walk in the backyard with Gatsby. Here is what I found....
...Gatsby met the neighbor's horse, which turned out quite well, being that he had never seen one before:
...There is a piece of an old fence still standing that looked beautiful to me:
...Gatsby with his "squinty" eyes...he is very focused, you see:
...And a big tree that looks absolutely amazing without all it's leaves:
Hope you enjoyed the pics! Thanks Mom & Dodd for having us!

Glorious Pink Challenge!

Create a Valentine layout and make sure to include Hambly......here is my Layout for the Pink Pineapple's February Challenge:

This layout was so much fun because I love how the Little Yellow Bicycle background paper (love letters - flocked grey w/ white floral) turned out.....I distressed the velvet flowers with brown and green ink!....also, I free hand cut out the green wood grain frame, from one of my favorite Hambly papers,.....the pink squares are also Hambly....the white swirls are Bazzill Just the Edge, and flower, of course, Prima!

I completed the challenge layout, while hanging out with my celebrity scrapbooking friend, Ally! Here is a photo of a totally cute layout from that day titled "Crushing Pink Ninjas"....a challenge layout where she had to come up with a band name...how cool is that!

Lucky Me...

...so here is a layout inspired by the upcoming St. Patty's Day, with pics from my recent trip to Ireland...is has a bit of a Dr. Seuss feel to it:

I used the Best Creations St. Patty's Day Paper, Creative Imaginations Pink Glitter Paper, Doodlebug Tangerine Sugar Coated Cardstock, Pink Paislee Sweet Cakes Paper, a Maya Road journaling car, and American Crafts Everyday chipboard....oh, and the white hearts are AC thicker chipboard stickers. I used an edge distresser on some of the paper, and inked it black....also, the green shamrock paper is popped up.

It is on display at the Pink Pineapple, if you want to see it in person. Hope you like it!

Moments Together...

...Here is a layout with a picture of my mother & father in-laws, walking, from our recent trip to Ireland. This layout was inspired by my favorite scrapbook artist: "SHH...Moment of Happiness..." a layout by Celine Navarro.

You can see a couple more pics of it here.

I used the new Imaginisce Twitterpated paper line, and for the pop-up clouds used a black sharpee, and dotted every other white circle.

Here is a photo of my class on Saturday:

What a beautiful mess!!!

Design Team Layout..

.....so, the Pajama Party Crop at the Pink Pineapple on Friday, was so much fun! Gloria & Krystie were the hostesses, and they did an awesome job! There were cupcakes as far as the eye could see...pink balloons, streamers, giveaways, slippers, and great music! So far, there is 1 theme crop scheduled a month, and I will definitely be at the next one (unless I'm out of town...I may be in Utah visiting family...YEAH!!!)....Ally will be the hostess of the "Crush on Pink" crop on Feb. 13th....she is so creative, I know it will be a blast!

Even though it was social hour, I still managed to get a layout done. It is to represent me as a design team member for the store....sigh,...I heart Pink Pineapple!

You can see a couple more pics of it here.
